While not as obviously overrun with feral cats as Greece, Bahrain certainly has it's fair share of them.
Many are domesticated enough to hang around residential areas scrounging for food.
The local animal shelter, the BSPCA, runs a CNR (catch, neuter and return) programme, but the numbers still continue to rise.
