Wolf's monkey and Co.
The Wolf's monkey is a member of a large family of African monkeys known as guenons. It is generally dark gray in color with a reddish saddle on its back, white or yellow on its underside, black on its arms and brownish-red on its hindquarters. It also has black on the lower half of its tail and a black eye mask that goes across its face. Little is known of this animal's social structure, however comparisons with other guenon species indicate that the Wolf's guenon probably live in small family groups consisting of a parental pair and their offspring. While not yet seriously endangered, the Wolf's guenon has nonetheless suffered a considerable reduction in numbers due to habitat destruction. Its main predator is probably the crowned hawk eagle.
