I vowed I would never do flower shots. Especially for photo-a-day. The world has enough flower shots. I can almost hear Susan Sontag re-emphasising the need for an ecology of images... But my planned shoot didn't produce anything I liked, and this flower was so handy...

Not as easy as they look. I often have trouble with blowing the highlights. I like the detail here - not a blown highlight to be seen.
