If you are looking at this picture in Large or below, stop right there! Look at it i the original size.

it looks at first glance like someone playing with a filter meant to impose an impressionistic, or painterly look to a photo. But if you look at the original you can see this was actually a rather sharp photo and what look like random points are really boulders! Examine the trail along the ridgeline especially.

The colors in these rocks are truly amazing, and part of the range you can see in Denali from "Polychrome Pass". You only ever think about Denali for wildlife or the infamous mountain, you never realize what amazing geological finds are there to rival even Utah in beauty and color with only rock.
