The characteristic that often distinguishes the Maasai tribe is their ability to spring high into the air from a standing position. I learned that this technique of dancing came from a skill they developed from dodging danger during combat. I am not sure if this is entirely true, but it is obvious that these warriors are able to do it with much ease and confidence.
