Very popular flower

Took a drive to the top of the Santa Cruz Mountains after work.

Stopped at Horseshoe Lake OSP to look for whatever wildlife was around. This Wavy-Leafed Soap
flowers was very popular with the bees.

On a side note, I rolled over 20k pictures during this session after 1 year and 5 months of shooting
with this D70.

Wow! Fantastic capture and composition! The flower and the bee lower right, paricularly the wings, have an almost glass-like appearance. Very well done!

wow bees seem to be popular today :) Love the clarity on this! Also the effect the flash had on the wings making them glisten. I typically avoid the flash - perhaps I should play with it a bit more...

Looks like there's a queue at the bar! ;) Congrats on reaching 20k! My guess is that you either have a stack of DVD-Rs somewhere or else a very large hard drive. ;)

lovely shot, great extention of the bee's wing and soft blue/purple tones on the flower. my pad today is with bees too! seems like they're busy pollenating these days..
