Role Reversal

The roles of the men and women in the Samburu tribe are very separate and distinct - the men hunt, look after the cattle, goats, and all matters of defence & security; while the women gather firewood, fetch water, cook and look after their children. When I saw only one man in the village holding a young child, it got my attention. He looked almost femininized, wearing a wrap around his chest as if covering his "breasts" and holding a child on his hips, the way many women do. And even more amusing to me is the look on his face - he didn't seem pleased about having to babysit, and the woman in the foreground whom I imagine to be his wife, does not seem to care about his temporary "suffering" and walks away - only too glad, to be relieved of her duties, at least for that moment!
