Thanks for the info, Gaurav...I can't duplicate the PS steps yet; but photos like this sure inspire me to want to :) MFC

hi Mike and KK - thanks for the kind words :) - The picture is relatively straightforward in concept, a little painstaking to execute. This is best done from a tripod with the camera settings fixed in manual mode to prevent any changes. Lacking a tripod, i shot handheld in burst mode during the pitching motion and then aligned them one by one in PS after setting the blending mode to difference and nudging till the pictures produced as perfect an overlap as possible. Revert to Normal blending mode.
Next, it was simply making the upper layers slightly transparent and applying a layer mask to only bring through the pitcher from the lower frames (this is the finicky part :)). Flatten, levels, some noise reduction & contrast adjustments, done. hope this is clear... :~gk
Gaurav, I really like the lighting here...it draws a lot of attention to what's going on at the mound. Your serial pitching line-up is very well done...I wish I knew how to put together something like that. The line-up of fans in the background is also a really a nice bonus. Well done...very good idea. MFC
