America's Return to Space. This photo was taken from the causeway that runs between the Kennedy Space Center and the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. Please click next for more launch photos!
I should note, so as not to confuse those who've never seen the Vehichle Assembly Building, the building in the photo is the former Lockheed-Martin Titan processing facility. The VAB looks more like a giant cube is much larger than the building shown.
If you think the VAB looming in the distance is cool, you should stand next to it. It just keeps going up and up and up. I have some photos that I'll try to get scanned. It's an awesome building - not bad for one that holds several world records, including ownership of the world's largest doors.

Wow, this is a good shot that you never see; the aftermath of a launch. People always focus on the Shuttle and the flames, but seeing the column of smoke left over is very cool. For those that have never seen the VAB looming on the horizon, it is an awesome sight in and of itself!
