"Guru purnima - moon of knowledge"
Today, is not only a full moon, but apparently it is the biggest full moon of the year.
It is a very auspicious day here in India. It is the day when it is most auspicious to
gain knowledge, so everyone would visit their teachers (gurus) or the temples of their
saints.
So I know there have been many moon shots, but today is the day to go out and get those moon shots.
From a technical point of view this was shot at 300mm. However as steady as the tripod
could hold it, there was this slight wind which kept disturbing the setup. Had to wait a
long time to get this one shot. You can almost see longitudinal lines running around the moon
starting from the hole in the bottom. Like it was once attached to a pole and spun.
