Saint Louis Church Twin Towers

These towers have been a landmark in our town for a century. The Church will have it's final service in August and then will be demolished. I'm trying to capture the towers this summer in several poses.

It is getting too expensive to maintain all of the old churches so we must say goodbye and move on.

superb picture and record..which some day people will refer to to view our beautiful architectural heritage..lost to the mindless consumerism....we spend billions on war and fighter jets but not even a 1% of that on preserving these masterpieces of inner and external art that represent the height of consciouness and peace ... I agree that change is the only constant..but mindless change at a reckless pace is neurotic and sick... Art is like a baby..one never changes them for new.. we can add new art but not kill of the old!!
you are doing your bit well to preserve this heritage by photographing them well...

Oh, what a shame! Such beautiful architecture! And such a beautiful shot of the towers!

Very well captured. How sad, I wonder what they will build in it's place.

"It is getting too expensive to maintain all of the old churches so we must say goodbye and move on " : I find it's a shame to do that.
You have reason to take such pictures !

How beautiful. How sad that it must be demolished. Perhaps someone can save the two steeples and use them somewhere.
