This is an IR photo of the Jain temple in Ranakapur, India. The Jain are a Buddaist sect. This is one of the few (if not the only) preserved Jain temple and is an architectural treasure. It is a three hour bus ride from the nearest tourist accomodations, but well worth the ride.
Hi Terry - this is a very nice IR shot bar the vignetting in the corners - the only thing i feel compelled to say is that Jains are not a sect of Buddhism - It is in independent religion. I do not have the facts at my disposal but I believe they actually predate buddhists.

such an ominous sky -- this is indeed an interesting architecture.
Beautiful and unusual religious architecture, Terry...really enhanced by that cloud-filled sky. I think it's fitting that this temple is so far away from any tourist accomodations...I'd certainly make the bus trip. MFC
