Great close-up work.
Guest 17-Jul-2005 06:16
Steve, a man after my own heart. Good detail, but quite noisy. Is this a 100% crop? Did you underexpose? Properly diffused flash can do wonders for macro work and I think it's always best to avoid posting 100% crops as the quality is always compromised, despite the larger image size to provide more detail. I've done a fair bit of this kind of work and include some information in my galleries on doing this kind of work, in addition to showing my images of course, so if you're interested, drop by.

Whoa, talk about 'in your face'! ;-) Fantastic detail of the head and all that's going on there. It's mouth is oriented in such a way where it's almost as if he has an expression of disbelief. :-o
