A nice colorful deep sky object taken with the D70 mounted onto a 12 inche Meade S-C telescope.

This was a painful picture to take as the telescope was pointing straight up at the night sky
and the camera at the bottom of the scope.

I watched, as if in slow motion, as the camera dropped from the scope, four feet onto the
hard cement:-( Normally, I would take the precation of wraping the neck strap onto the finder
scope, but did not this time. The camera is fine, scratched the protective LCD cover and the
case, but the camera still works just fine.

Actually, this is the second drop as the camera fell out of its open case while backpacking
last weekend.

Gotta be more careful!
