Gracie was the daughter of Dr. & Mrs. Watson who owned the Pink House, she was often seen in the lobby greeting guest. She died of, and I am pretty sure I won't spell this right but pnemonia when she was 6. There was a lot of interest in her statue due to its profound likeness of her. Vandals chipped her nose and a few fingers several years ago. There is usually always a fresh flower in her hand and I noticed on my most recent trip, just yesterday money.

Her name is Gracie. It is a life size sculpture of a daughter of a hotel owner who died of fever. I forgot where I had read that information before but I do know that it is her.

What a wonderful monument! She really touched me. Do you have any information on her? I am an avid cemetery researcher, just for my own interests. She is just adorable. I could've spent days at this cemetery!

I love this tribute to Gracie. I would love to know Gracie's story. The song by Martina McBride, Concrete Angel makes me think of this gravesite..
