The ranch, located in Huntoon Valley through which Highway 395 passes, is a small sheep ranch. It had just received the first snow of the season and, on this particular morning, the sheep seemed pensive. For good reason; four hours later, they were all gone! As I then drove by again, I saw that they were loaded on a large truck and, apparently, were heading to market!
