Excellent gallery, for some reason I really like this image, like some of the other comments, it does something for me. Voted !!!

Love this shot. Nice how the ties and tracks make a cohesive unit. The long focal length exaggerates the curve in the tracks. The light is beautiful. V

Such a great contrast ... delicate beauty with relentless strength and power! :)

Brain, very nice capture. I love the perspective in here to capture the rail and flowers , and the composition too. Well Done!!! Voted.
Guest 20-Jul-2005 04:03
Nicely spotted and composed Brian. I would probably prefer to see the focus on a specific part of the train, perhaps the end of the nut and bolt facing us rather than the wheel that is almost hidden behind..

Wonderful how you've captured the weight of the train to bow the rails below.
Excellent!

Wonderful image. What a great contrast between all that metal and the dainty wildflowers.
optimist15-Jul-2005 17:39
Nice. You can feel the weight of the train, the steel framed in close with the little fragile flowers. You can almost hear it, too.

What a great composition. It's funny that I was drawn to trains yesterday too. I kept walking out of my office as they passed. I even stopped at a crossing and started to shoot one passing yesterday on the way to work. None of my chances would have produced anything like this. I love it! GMV.
