Swans in the Rain

Lafreniere Park, Metairie, Louisiana

First, a big thank you to everyone who voted for "Red Sails in the Sunset".
In between the rain showers of the Tropical Storm that we will be in for the next 30 hours or so, I tried to get some shots at the Park.







These are new to the Park. I have never seen this kind of duck before. Does anyone know what they are besides "poodle ducks". Looked them up--they are "Crested Ancona ducks". Someone must have dropped them off as they do not fly.






My clothes were soaked taking this picture but my head and my camera were under an umbrella.

These are the black swans at Lafreniere Park whose nest eggs did not hatch. The white swan babies are at City Park in New Orleans.

Are these the same baby swans we've been looking at earlier? They're getting serious muscles. And "Poodle Ducks" is such a great name. No point in searching for another.

Nice shot of the swans. I saw one of the black ones pecking a nutria the last time I was there. Those Poodle ducks are new to me.
