We celebrate on the 4th day of July because we are a nation ruled by our laws
and that was the day our CONGRESS adopted the Declaration of Independence,
which was the legal document devised and construed by ourselves (our congress)
during the days preceding the aforementioned adoption. To declare is only to
state an intention; to adopt the intention is to make it legal, hence the
celebration of our adopting the intention as one foundation of our democracy.
