Hibernation

During winter, the Grizzly Bears sleep behind a thick pane of often grubby glass.
In order to sharpen this shot, I used Paint Shop Pro and under the Adjust tab, applied the following:
Automatic Color Balance: Strength = 20, Temperature = 6407
Automatic Contrast Enhancement: Bias = neutral, Strength = mild, Appearance = Natural
Clarify: Strength = 3
Unsharp Mask: Radius = 1, Strength = 35, Clipping = 1

Total time spent: less than a minute

Panasonic DMC-FZ10 ,Auto exposure

other sizes: small medium original auto

Stunning, generally we try the case dark to clear as the post of Tim.

I'll be interested to know if it works for you. I usually have pretty good luck with minimum fiddling, unless the window happens to have reflections in it, in which case it's usually a lost cause.

One other thing I sometimes tweak (although I didn't in this one) is the gamma correction. ~ Ang

Super Angela. Excellent result
I have copied your methods and aim to try it on a few window shots
