Coming in through the St Lawrence Seaway ocean going freighters come into Duluth, MN. I was coming home from a picture taking trip and saw this ship "Indiana Harbor" coming across Lake Superior when I was about an hour away. I managed to park my truck and race over to the canal just as the ship was coming in. It is 1,000 feet long and 105 feet wide. It has 4 x 3,500 hp diesel engines driving it's twin props. It can carry 139,056,000 net pounds of iron ore. Traveling through the canal it goes a little faster than you can walk through a crowd with a tripod :-)

I wish I was just a little faster - I could have framed it against Duluth's Aerial Lift bridge.
