Vermont

The Canada Geese where we were kayaking have learned to come begging for treats. This gosling decided to sample the cover on my kayak! It also tried my finger and shirt sleeve. There are 3 goslings and 2 geese.

Cynthia, a lovely shot all the better being from a canoe, I would never attempt this as I know darn well that me an my camera would end up in the water. LOL

Wow - you're lucky it's a goose. I had a kayak upended by a curious Newfoundland (Farmington River in CT, many years ago) I think it's great you can get these great shots from the kayak, good work!

Thanks for your comments, all. Actually I get tons of blurry photos from my boat, but it's very stable, and the water was calm today. I give my camera a lot of the credit with the image stabilization. Cindy

I too am impressed with your photographing-while-kayaking abilities! I love the pattern of the feathers in this shot. Well done! ~ Ang

Beautiful photo, Cindy! How do you kayak, fight off attacking geese, and take photos all at the same time?

The Canada Geese at Lake Tahoe's Emerald Bay are big-time beggars too, paddling right up to the boat when you stop to have lunch and grab a few photos. Gave away half my sandwich last time we were there.
