You should take it as read that Linda accompanied me to the hospital yesterday, and sat beside me, occasionally stroking my head just to let me know that I wasn't alone. So, I wasn't alone - but I was the one lying inside the thing. Just thought that I would get that out of the way in an attempt to worm myself into Linda's good books following yesterday's omission. Talking of Linda, I have to report that she has now completed her portfolio - three copies of 200 printed and bound pages. It was a lot of work - she thinks that the dissertation will be easier - but now it is over and she is a free woman until Monday, when she goes back to work at her old job until university resumes in September (although there are some questions concerning pay rates and holiday entitlements that have to be sorted out). She has done extremely well so far. She has passed everything with flying colours, and her written work has been described as 'exemplary'. Yet, no matter how many people tell her she is good, she doesn't believe them! I would have no qualms about accepting the praise! She completed her two-month placement, and her clients were upset that she was leaving, and even attempted to get her to stay. She is extremely good at her job, and has a vocation for the caring and social services. All her colleagues think highly of her; her university tutors and placement supervisors cannot praise her enough; she is sailing through the course with flying colours, and she has aced all of her written work! She is a gem, and not at all garrulous.
