Think "the calm before the storm." No, it didn't rain, but that might
have kept the torrent of mosquitos away! Little did we know that leaving
the tent in the car was a bad idea. We literally got a couple hours of sleep this
night between us between waking up and swatting bugs and readjusting our bivy bags
to keep the flies away from our heads. I have never had so many that the NOISE of
their wings kept me awake! Regardless, this is the start to a fantastic trip.
