I was just trying to see how my SB-29 Macro flash would work with my digital camera. I had to use 1/4 power at f38 to get an acceptable image. I believe I might have to check out the Sigma macro flash as it supports iTTL. I might have lowered the ISO to 100 but I'm not sure that would have helped to not wash out the subject.
