Blue Girl by Ord

I went to this parade looking for some people in blue costumes for the challenge.

The first time she and the others with the same outfit passed, I was on the unpainted side, so after the parade passed I crossed the street and ran up ahead so that they would pass with the painted side towards me. I was hoping for a full profile of one of them, but couldn't get that shot.

I prefer your other shot Ord. Not only does it have more to look at, but it is also better balanced and nice and sharp, whereas this one is afflicted by an unfortunate amount of blur (1/100s at 200mm equivalent is rarely going to be a happy ending) and this one also has a distracting background. One benefit from looking at your images is to appreciate how much better the unpainted side of the face looks. John

This girl looks almost exactly like Keira Knightley from King Arthur the movie ... It's interesting when ladies paint themselves in blue -- either if they defend their country or the colours of their favourite team. -Tom P.
