Today’s photo was a real labour of love, it involved heading out to the woods, and then walking
for a good half hour in the pretty intense heat of a Scottish summer. OK it was fairly mild, but
the intense heat element sounds a lot more dramatic.
Once out at the sculpture I had in mind I had to fend off hundreds of midges - the scottish
equivalent of a mosquito, only smaller, and (it seems) there are a lot more of them. Once there I
had to begin trying to think of all manner of poses. It had been my intention to use the multiple
personality photo, shown below, for my PAD. But when it came to it, I liked this one so much I
decided to go with it instead!
The camera was set up on a tripod, and I used the remote control to set the shutter off when I was
ready. Other than that the only trial I had to contend with were the bemused looks, on the faces
of the people passing by.
