I had to nip into town last night after work to buy a frame for a picture I'd sold. Whilst I was
there I thought I'd nip along to the Art Gallery, to go to the Eve Arnold exhibition that's on just
now. But no sooner had I arrived than I found the doors were locked! Guess it's going to be a
case of going this weekend instead.
So rather than head back towards work and the car, I thought I'd head into one of the local
bookshops. Inside the large cool store there was a book of Ansel Adams photos. I took a wee bit
of time to go through the book, and found a black and white photo of a scene very similar to this.
With that in mind, I had to go out to hatton of fintray to pick Catherine up. On the way there's
a cracking walk around a wood, full of sculptures, I thought I'd take some time out, and relax with
a wander. At this point I stumbled straight into a scene which was almost a carbon copy of the
earlier photo. The only difference is I think he used a wood of silver birches, rather than the
sycamores I have here! So there you are, inspired (so much of a better word than ripped off), by .
Ansel Adams.
Mind you, I think I'll have to upload a new copy though later, this is a bit too soft for my liking!
