John's mum's garden behind the farm house. Jayne gave me a tour of the farm house tonight. It's really lovely. Bright, large rooms. Thick stone walls that keep it cool for a long way though summer. And huge amounts of living space. Nicely furnished and full of family history. A family bible dating from 1860 with family history from 1840 to about 1870(?) sits on an old oak chest beside the rear staircase.
