Ca. 1905, restored 2005 Cliff. Johnston

Uncle Attie and Family ca. 1905

Prescott Co., Ontario, CANADA

Back Row: Arthur M. Johnston (Uncle Attie), Edna, Thomas Graves (husband of Janet Johnston), Elizabeth, John (killed in WWI)
Middle Row: Anna Reid Johnston, Janet "Jennie" Johnston Graves (Attie's sister)
Front Row: Beulah, Dwight, Mabel, Bruce, Woofer

Note: When given this photograph I had only the name "Jennie" for one of the ladies. At the time we were unaware of Janet Johnston, and it just about drove me around the bend. Now we know that she is Janet Johnston Graves, affectionately known as "Jennie" and then "Ginny" among family members as she liked gin. There is also a possibility that Janet may have been married previously to a Grant at one time as her name was recorded as Janet Grant Graves. The question now is Thomas Graves the brother of John B. Graves?

Attie is my great grandfather. Dwight, first row, my grandfather. My dad took us to the "family farm" outside of Ottawa when I was about 5 years old. Have never had much success researching the Johnston line past Arthur. If anyone has Attie's or Annie's direct lines going back, I would love to share them. I could certainly share Dwight's line moving forward to present. Thanks in advance.
