The sun was fully up now and the light was starting to get more contrasty against the supple slopes of the Painted Hills. The small yellow flowers are now fully bathed in the light of the sun but the curves of the hills are more pronounced than ever. Also, more visible in this image are the steps of various animals (like deer) that have traversed the hill side.
