Railroad Track/ 12 June 05

I love riding on trains, but the last time I was on a train was when I just arrived in America. A baby in my arms and my first big travel on my own in a foreign country, whose language still was strange to me. All the way from Montana to Texas, three days and two nights. I was unable to comprehend at that time, how exiting this ride would be, how many obsticles I would have to overcome and that at times I have to wait patiently when I missed my next connection. Taking detours, but keeping my goals on my mind. I am still riding on this train, my destination slightly changed since my last train ride, the possibilities like Donna mentioned are endless.even after all this time I have spend in the USA.

Ha Ha - I meant "shot".

An unusual choice of viewpoints makes this a dramatic and energetic chot.

Yes, the train is a good metaphor for our lives - sometimes the tracks are bumpy and sometimes we're not even sure we're on the right track. Looks like you are, Susanne.

Beautiful image..
I really enjoy the heightened contrast....
And the perspective....

I think each of us have memories from our ventures out into the world on trains...
Thanks for your imagery in words and photo....

Riding the rails is still one of the best ways to see and experience the world around us.

This is wonderful. The way you tilted the horizon gives a feeling of speed. And your posterizing treatment makes the rail look so shiny. Nice work.
