Stone bridge

There are a few of these bridges left in New England.
They are stone bridges that are built with no mortar.
They are true arches that are structurally sound based on their own distribution of weight from the key stones down.
I think they are also very beautiful.

I love these no mortar constructions.
They seem coming directly, as a part of, from the ground itself.

this bridge is indeed very pretty, especially with the green against the grey.
think i'd be happier if there was at least *some* mortar though. ;)
