Tim O'Donoghue

Index, Washington

Used a Quantaray ND4 (neutral density) filter
(2 stop reduction) to slow down the exposure
enough to get the cascade effect. Tripod was
used, of course.

I like the softness of the water against the hard rocks, and the corresponding color contrast. Very lovely. Cindy C

Thanks to all for the comments. The rocks were just "there" as the water was the primary intent, but I was pleased (and surprised) with the way they turned out. There's a lot of 3-D'ishness overall I think - maybe due to the f/16 effective DOF.

That really turned out beautifully, Tim! ~ Ang

Tim, I like the waterfall itself, but I think the stones in the foreground are actually what makes the shot. Their rich colors and water on them give the feeling of being very close to waterfall.

Well done Tim. I'd like to give that a try myself.
