The story behind these roses is quite interesting. We bought this house from an Estate. The woman who lived here died in her 90's, it was also the house her father had built and in which she was brought up as a young girl, her husband and she lived in it all their married lives, he passed away and then a couple years later she passed away. She loved roses, there are rose bushes all over. I mowed them down, trimmed them back until they were stubs and no matter what they continue to bloom. I guess I'll now start to care for them. (They'll probably die)

Beautiful roses, inspite of me.

Shame on you, Don, for not tending to them properly yet! ;) It's amazing how roses can flourish no matter how they're neglected. How do you think mine have lived so long?!

Yes, very beautiful and please do care for them....if you do some research you may find you have some very old varieties that many people would just love to have!
