Jun 5 2005

It was the sunniest, hottest day we've had so far this year in Buffalo. Elaine and I took junk out to the road to be picked up by the semi-annual junk collection the city accomplishes. This meant cleaning stuff out of the basement. Since we moved in, over a year ago, now, the majority of my library has remained boxed in the basement. Today I stocked the shelves in my office, thus the picture.

Great variety of interesting books here Don. I adore history.

What are you, a poli-sci major? Way too much history for me! My history extends about as far back as MTV tells me! (j/k). I love book collections, esp. hardbacks, but I'm never inclined to spend the money for hardbacks - my wife has got it in her head that a hardback library collection is something we need to work towards. I'm naturally holding off!

Are the comic books hidden behind there Don? ;^)

I know and I thought your comment was very funny and I learned a new word.

I meant that you are not really the author of Castles of Steel.

I assumed the meaning of ersatz but had to look it up to confirm...
being a usually artificial and inferior substitute or imitation

Aha ... a fellow historian ... quite nice. And an ersatz author!

One of my favorite is the book "Castles of Steel" by Don Nieman!
His books are difficult to put down : )

Other people's bookshelves are always so interesting. My husband studied history at University so he has bookshelves with similar titles. Mine are fully of craft books, Psychology text books, and travel books. Thanks for the peek, Don.
