The Upper Falls of Uvas County Park

Did a little hike at Uvas County Park. This park is known for its rushing waterfalls
and creeks.

Finally brought a tripod for some longer exposure shots.

Nikon D70 ,Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AF-S DX Zoom
1/2s f/3.8 at 27.0mm, with tripod full exif

lovely waterfall and perfect timing to blur the water. tripods drive me insane on a long hike, especially with dog in tow, so I tend to use a monopod instead. but for shots like this there's no substitute for a good tripod. :)

Lugging a tripod on a hike is a pain but this shot certainly proves it's worth it.
