I had a great weekend in São Martinho as Pedro and Helena's guest. They really took care of me, so I felt quite guilty for supporting Setúbal in today's Portuguese cup final (Pedro is a Benfiquista). Here is a picture of some Benfica supporters celebrating their penalty goal in the fourth minute: it was the only enjoyment they were to have, since their team played like mince, and they ended up losing 2-1. Before the football, Pedro, Lucas and I went to Óbidos for a while, before returning to Caldas da Rainha to pick Helena up from church. Afterwards, we went back to São Martinho to have some frango assado. Helena showed me how to make some typical Brazilian food with a special type of flour (I wrote the recipe down, but it is in my notebook at the bottom of my bag). Now when I get back to Scotland we will be having a Brazilian barbeque - with bossa nova and caipirinha. The coach trip back to Lisbon was swift - which was just as well, because the woman sitting next to me hummed the whole way and it was beginning to drive me up the wall: I was almost at breaking point by the time we reached Sete Rios. When I got back to the flat, Charles was talking about flying here and there with Ryanair. That got me to thinking about a summer adventure for me and Liam: fly from Edinburgh to Dublin and spend a few days in Ireland, then get another flight to Barcelona, then on to Ancona, then back to London to catch a flight to either Faro or Oporto! All for a few pounds!
