I much preferred the plain though bright white-painted buildings to the golden temple itself, which I'm sorry to say struck me as being rather more gaudy than godly.

We drove back to the Hotel, showered and changed, and then went to work at about 10:30am. A late start to a very long day made all the more bearable by this visit earlier in the morning.
