Number 9 on the Cincinnati Reds, Ryan Freel, makes a head first dive back to first base as the pitcher tries to catch him leading off of first base. Ryan had an outstanding game today....4/6 with a home run, two doubles, and a single! Reds won the game 12-3 :) It was my belated Mom's Day gift from my daughter who accompanied me. We had terrific seats, 5 rows back from the field at the end of the Red's dugout, right along the first base line. This camera just doesn't seem to do too well with zoom or action shots, so I didn't get a whole lot of pics, but had an absolute blast at the game! Perfect weather too.

The only draw back - my favorite player, first baseman Sean Casey, was out of the game today. As a matter of fact, I didn't even see him in the dugout, so I'm wondering if he was there. I think he had a jammed shoulder in last night's game. This game was an afternoon game starting at 12:35 and followed a 14 inning marathon last evening....so I'll bet these guys are tired! I'm a big Red's fan, so it was a thrill!
