Why it works: This young man is a loner. Though not autistic, he is difficult to reach emotionally and socially. He often seems lost in a hazy world of his own, as he was last Thanksgiving at a church outing. This candid portrait now hangs on his parent's living room wall, as his mother felt it captured him perfectly.
