20050514 / Fork

Garrapata SP / Big Sur, CA

After a Saturday morning crunch session with Asilomar's
carving crew, I shot the One south for a flipflop walk
along the Garrapata trail. Coming to a fork in the road,
I went left. Wrong move. A dozen or so yards up the path,
a couple of hippies were baking buns in a bluff...in the buff.
While I am thankful they weren't roasting weenies, it was still
a sight my weekend could have done without.

And no, I did not document the experience on film. Use your
imagination if you must.

Had a good laugh at your description under your image ... after I had appreciated the beauty of your image! :)

Nice place Chris. We have such dry places by the sea here in Greece too.

Incredible dream scene with the distant mist dollop atop emerald scones.Love the blazing hot texture in the shrubbery. And that deep blue signature that warms my cockles.I,too thoroughly enjoy your monologues. They steep the flavour of your vision with incomparable finesse.Totally cool Chris :-)

i guess they felt the view was better from here than in their bedroom. i daresay they were right. :)

very nice pic and landscape.... perfect composition, you let us choose a way, one towards the sea, the other towards the mountain with mist.... really nice!!

Looks hot! I like the split path, give the eye two ways to look and holds you in the frame.

So beautiful. The mist on the mountain is breathtaking.

Your explanations are as amazing as your photos. I love the cloud wisps on the mountain in the background; beautiful color to the ocean.
Who knows what you would have seen if you'd taken the other fork.
