20050511 / Space In Time

Pacific Grove, CA

She stirred
Rich and smooth, her misplaced accent
A dialectal lullaby
Setting his knees in motion

“Tall, two shot,” she said
He gave every indication
That he had nothing to say
And everything, every thing to gain

An afternoon in Pacific Grove. Minestrone at Cafe Ariana followed by happy hour
at P.G. Juice & Java. Anything with espresso in it is half off from 3 - 6,
Monday - Thursday. The shot above features the eaves of the Resort Lighthouse
Theater. Not as 'arthouse' as the Osio in downtown Monterey, they show a mix
of first runs and independents in a converted Victorian.

Terrific comp - great use of diagonals...sky and clouds somehow remind me of Magritte. I like this lots!!

like the angle of this.. the blue sky with clouds of white.

Almost dizzying perspective. Beautiful sky, great abstract lines. Wonderful words and imagery in them.

I like the perspective...and all the perpendicular lines.

You might have violated a few rules of photography - and more than gotten away with it. Great photo.

Like the balance of this, good choice of angle at first I thought you were looking straight up being flat on your back!

The yin yang of architecture and nature. And, a shot that could be taken on your back after happy hour ;-) Good choice for PAD - g

Beautiful architectural day, surfer boy

rather severe architecture for me, but that cloudy blue sky is very appealing.

Nice perspective Chris. I like it.

Wow! Dizzying view ... gorgeous blue and white, which contrast beautifully with the sharp edges and angles of the building! :)

Reminds me of Escher... and the clouds were just so accomendating for thee as well.

interesting view point....... your photos always seem to deal with the sky, nice

This is how I usually see thing after a few at "Happy Hour". Great perspective that gracefully upsets balance.

I like how the white of the clouds mirrors the white of the lighted eaves and trim. The image is full of patterns and diagonals giving it some energy. The noise creates a nice texture in the sky and shadows.

I like your title. You accomplished to diplace space nicely by leaving in the picture the structure from the building to one side and to the other side have that open spaced blue sky. I love the lines of your structure in here.
