Here we can see that the construction of the new bridge is moving ahead quickly. the Shoo-Fly is in the foreground and it carries most, if not all, of the train traffic that passes this site. One of the main tracks (south track)is completed and looks operational. The new bridge uses large I-beams to span the creek with new supports driven into the middle of the creek, the old bridge did not have a center support. They are using the old bridge abutmants but they have added to them so that they are wide enough for a modern bridge with more room between trains.
