Meet the Swan Family

New Orleans City Park

Very bright sunshine and a papa swan (coming on shore on the right) who was warning me.... But, it's the baby swans that I have been searching for in City Park for a while and I was thrilled. A closer shot of Mama and her babies is at http://www.pbase.com/image/42922383.

Lovely. They look so docile when they are swimming but you'd think they were a grizzly the way they "warn" you. Nice image, Coleen.

Glad to see you stood your ground for the sake of PaD. Someone once told me to wear a cap low & avert your eyes when taking bird shots.....not tried it but maybe it works. Beautifully peaceful, Coleen.

Nice shots, Colleen! It's certainly a day for cygnets (and goslings!) I really like the second photo, too - Great composition and poses from the parents, and I love how all the babies are "rafted" together. So sweet!
