I dont know why you try. Its as impossible as trying to thread a needle with boxing gloves on.

Hey Gary .... I have been insanely busy lately ( gawd, the story of my life these past few months - make it stop!) and battling with my 'high' speed internet ... commentling has been virtually impossible, and photo taking extremely limited ... so I'm in catch up mode .... here goes!!!! ......

Gary, as a Mom who has recently survived raising a teen age daughter ... I'd like to offer up a few words of advice ....
Quit now while you still have (?) your sanity - they win every time!
Fun image! : )

The pains of Fatherhood!

Been There, Done That. Mine will be 21 in a couple of months, so technically not a teenager anymore - but the memories will last a lifetime! HAH! I feel for ya, dude. But trust me when I say: "This too shall pass."

LOL, your expressions are priceless.
Guest 03-May-2005 03:16
This photo is the perfect exasperated parent shot. Should go on a book somewhere!

Absolutely perfect expression for this situation. I can relate...

Been ther, done that and nobody gave me a T-shirt...LOL
Karen Leaf02-May-2005 02:56
BIG laugh here. I would have liked to see the next frame as she turns around and gives you 'the daughter' look. LOL.
And that WA probably isn't the best thing for portraits. New?

You are an expressionist, I mean you have perfect expressions!!!
Voted. I wish I could find a way to thank you for the daily smile you give me.

Great work! Her posture in the background tells the story best. I am so glad mine are grown. Even better is the revenge now that they're experiencing all this for themselves.
Guest 01-May-2005 16:51
Lol! in aditions to Ira`s coment, it is a glass of scotch.
My kids aren`t teenagers still, even thought my son is so close to become a teenager, let see what happen.
Great composition in your image, tells the full story!!!

No. Never had a teenage daughter. This is very funny... well maybe it isn't. Anyhow the work you did with that new wide-angle lens is excellent.

Pop 50 mgs of valium, take a 30 minute time out, try again.
Then take two prozac, another 30 minute time out, and try again.
Then drink two 750 ml bottles of wine, an additional 30 minute
time out and give up because you haven't a chance.

Too funny! I have three teenagers and have felt like this many times :)
jude01-May-2005 11:16
LOL I can see in almost every oriface you have.. LOL
first of all.. fantastic DoF .. centering on YOU ..
Second.. um. I had 2 daughters and 2 sons who were all teens at the same time. The girls were WAY worse.. hormones hit them in weird and very scary ways..
Good luck with that, she said, basking in the fact that those days are over (but now you can see that you'll come out of it ALMOST unscathed..lol)

To answer your question: "Yes".
There is medication for this condition. Ask your doctor if it's right for you.
