This little guy caught me unaware when I was checking out my flowers.
He was flitting from one grape hyacinth plant to another before I realized
that he was something I had never seen before. I quickly grabbed my camera,
without time to change settings, but managed to get a couple shots of him before
he flew off. I'm hoping that he will reappear in my hummingbird/butterfly flower
beds when I can be more prepared to get many sharp captures and better shots of
his wings. In checking on the Internet, the distinguishing hairy tail identifies
this as a male Snowberry Clearwing Hummingbird Moth.
