Careful sampling required

Thursday 28th April - Day 131

Over the years I've become a whisky snob...errr connoisseur. That doesnt necessarily mean I go after the best tasting malts - I've discovered that these normally have a price premium - you get to pay for 60 years of maturation, after all. But I do enjoy tasting. Instead of a single bottle, I bought these at the airport to educate my american friend about the different types of whisky. My personal favourite of these is the Isle of Jura - I suppose I prefer the taste of the Island whiskies more. Lets face it.... any whisky!

I'm off to savour one ;)

From yesterday, an alternate view of most people's favourite house

Which one did I like best? Really, I liked all of them. :) Thanks for sharing. Your "American friend."

Really nice play on dof. Gives me the sense that I might be trying the stuff. Oops, after that last one I think I'm shut off. ;)

Well done and of course the favorite is highlighted.

My favorites are Lagavulin 12, Glenlivet 18, Macallan 10 and any of the Glenmorangie Wood Finish series.
And you are right, it is an expensive "hobby". Best to drink some beer now and then.

As your favourite is the Isle of Jura, it's good that you've given it prominence in your image.

Beautifully photographed. I like how the selective focus points to your favorite.

It has a fine look of class about it. Like the focus, Lee.
