Just a Walk on the Beach
April 27

Snake River/Clarkston, Washington

Well, we decided to give the Herons some peace and quiet. Today was just going to be
for running errands and relaxing...yeah right, put two photo hounds in a moving vehicle
with three cameras and memory cards and the errands WILL always take a back seat.
We were driving by the park on the Snake River where Linda shot the gooslings about two
weeks ago and noticed the same brood out for a walk...little did we know, when we turned
into the park that we would end up seeing and photographing three different sets of young
up close and personal. This is a shot of two of the five in the "youngest" brood.

Nikon D100 ,Sigma 300-800mm f 5.6,ISO 200
1/250s f/10.0 at 800.0mm full exif

What a cutie. Ours aren't that far along yet but it's a fun time when they're small. Makes you appreciate Geese a bit more I think.

You all sound like you have the same problem my sister and I have when we get together. :-) Great shot, BTW.

I am smiling at the idea of two photohounds in a car. I'm surprised any of us get anything done. These little goslings are so soft and sweet. You caught the detail perfectly.
