21 April - Entrance to Meersbrook Park

Meersbrook Park, Sheffield

Determined to get out this lunchtime as there was some sunshine.
These are the gates to the small park near work.
Not often I convert to B&W but I think this shot calls for it.

Good use of b&w, I like the way the path takes you away into the park and the way the gate suggests that perhaps you are not welcome.

Very interesting with the diffused lighting and strong black gate.

Really nice... Shadows and lighting works very well in B&W

nice results, maybe you should do more BWs

Nice use of B&W: really shows off the shadows and contrast.

Ah, a nice sense of mystery about this one.

Very nice, and I agree. Great composition and the contrast assists in defining of the gate. I like the path in the background.

Agreed, this looks very nice in B&W!

I like your use of black and white - gives the feel of strong sunlight without any colours getting washed out. Looks very inviting.

I think you're right, the strong lines make it work!
